FIRST PAT BURNS FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT

On the 7th of August, the first edition of the golf tournament for the Pat Burns Foundation took place under the honorary presidency of Mr. Charles Henry, a former governor and general manager of the Gatineau Olympics and member of the Hall of Fame QMJHL. Organized by the Tecumseh Golf Club, the activity was fully booked and welcomed 216 participants including several known players and personalities of the world of hockey. Golfers had the chance to meet some big names in hockey such as :

 

  • Marc Bergevin, General Manager of the Montreal Canadians

  • Stéphane Leroux, RDS journalist and junior hockey expert

  • Claude Julien, Head Coach of the Boston Bruins

  • Derick Brassard, New York Rangers

  • Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Ottawa Senators

  • Maxime Talbot, Boston Bruins

  • Stéphane Matteau, former player of the New York Rangers

  • Stefan Matteau, New Jersey Devils

  • Marc Methot, Ottawa Senators 

  • Éric Landry, Gatineau Olympics assistant coach 

  • Jean-Philippe Chabot, former Hull Olympics captain

  • Martin Ménard, former Hull Olympics player

  • Pavel Rosa, former Hull Olympics player

  • Rick Hayward, former Hull Olympics player

  • Sam Lang, former Hull Olympics player

  • Michel Larose, former Hull Olympics player

  • Luc Chénier, former Hull Olympics player

 

The activity is summarized as a success, the sum of $39,000.00, was raised which will enabling the Foundation to continue its mission. Thank you to all who contributed to the success of the tournament. The next edition will take place on the 12th of August 2016 at the Tecumseh Golf Club.
